THE GOP IS TRYING TO STEAL OUR ELECTIONS. AGAIN.

Rachel is the only real Working Families Party (WFP)-endorsed candidate in the primary election.

The other primary candidate running on the WFP line is Denise Watson, a Republican who is trying to steal the Working Families Party ballot line. This is a new tactic by the GOP to confuse voters.

The term for this position is 10 years, so we won’t get another shot at electing a good candidate for another decade.

The Issues

Firsthand Experience

Rachel knows firsthand the impact family court can have — when she was young, she encountered the family court system during her parents’ divorce. This experience inspired her to help people, particularly those who are unable to advocate for themselves.

Fighting For Justice

Rachel over a decade of experience as a public interest lawyer, representing marginalized folks and fighting for their humanity in the face of a system that often dehumanizes them.

For Her Community

Rachel’s dedication to the Hudson Valley is extremely personal. She was born in Kingston, and grew up in Cragsmoor, a small hamlet in New York’s Hudson Valley. Rachel currently lives in Beacon with her family.

Rachel has been an active community member of Dutchess County.

She is an active member of Dutchess County’s Coordinating Committee for Domestic Violence and worked to mentor and train attorneys to be sensitive to issues of trauma and crisis.
For five years, Rachel worked at the Dutchess County office of Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, a non-profit organization that provides free counseling to low-income individuals.
