Run for Something

THE GOP IS TRYING TO STEAL OUR ELECTIONS. AGAIN.

Republicans are running on the Democrat ballot to stop us from winning and confuse voters. They’re trying to do this across the Hudson Valley.

Laura is the only true Democrat in the primary and the general election. Her opponent, Micheal Olivieri, is a Republican challenging her on the Democrat line in order to confuse voters.

Will you pledge to vote for Laura?

Laura on the Issues

Healthcare

Laura believes healthcare is a human right. She will work with constituents to ensure they have the resources they need to get affordable options that currently exist. She will advocate with state officials to ensure everyone has insurance without a high cost burden. She will also speak out against the removal of our in-patient mental health and detox services.

Housing

Laura wants to hold the large developers who purchase large numbers of complexes and increase rents accountable to the communities they are affecting. She wants to make sure Kingston’s economic development is responsible, with industries that provide real jobs for those who live here. She also wants to address short term rentals, including another study on rent control measures and improving the effectiveness of Kingston’s land bank.

Dedicated to our Community

She has worked for Boys & Girls Clubs of Ulster County, RUPCO (provider of quality, affordable housing and community development programs), and the YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County. She also supports DRAW, a youth arts organization, and the YMCA Farm Project, which uses alternative methods to engage and educate kids on broad issues like economic justice.
